Meet the Kim’s Taekwondo Instructors!
Kim’s Taekwondo Boise is the Idaho hub of Kim’s Taekwondo School, headquartered in Portland, Oregon under Grandmaster Emeritus Kim, Hong Sik.
Grandmaster David Knife has directed the Boise branch of Kim’s Taekwondo School since he founded it in 1982.
Kim’s Taekwondo School is one of the largest independent martial art gyms in the United States, comprising a federation of schools that stretch from Honolulu, Hawaii in the west, to South Carolina on the east coast. The greatest concentration of students is located in the four-state area of the Pacific northwest, however, anchored by the metropolitan areas of Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Boise, Idaho; and Bozeman, Montana.

Grandmaster Knife founded the Boise dojang in 1982.
He is the direct student of Grandmaster Kim, Hong Sik. The Boise dojang is the Idaho hub of Kim’s Taekwondo.
Grandmaster Knife holds a 9th degree black belt in Taekwondo. He also holds an M. A. in Curriculum & Instruction from the Boise State University Graduate School of Education, and has been teaching at-risk high school students for the Westada School District for the past 19 years as a Certified Secondary School teacher.

The classes in Bozeman, Montana are taught by Bryan Luther, 3rd degree black belt, and supervised with the assistance of 5th degree master Steve Nettik.
